Healthcare and Wellness Centre - Blissful Reality

Body, Mind and Soul Healthcare Centre

You are body, mind and spirit. Doesn't it make sense to take care of your health on all these levels? 'Holistic health' is the term used for this all-encompassing approach to achieving and maintaining good health.

Through the past few generations the focus in health care fell almost completely on disease and the understanding of the disease process. Nowadays the focus is shifting more and more onto wellness instead of illness. This is a really positive step for the health care industry as a whole. However, no university offers a degree in wellness, this results in consumers having to turn to non-mainstream sources for their health education.

Health simply can be described as wellness of mind, body and soul, which translates into a happy, healthy and balanced life. No one’s life is challenge free - whether those challenges present themselves in physical, spiritual, emotional, financial, or social ways. It is how we deal with these issues, and how committed we are to our own total state of health that will determine how these factors influence our lives.

If you are looking for help, understanding and healing of ailments and feel that conventional medicine is not the correct or only answer, perhaps it is time to look at another, naturally powerful solution. You have the gift of mind-body relation at your disposal to create equilibrium in your life.

Blissful Reality specialises in the following therapeutic treatments:

“The wish for healing has ever been the half of health.” - Seneca

Research has proven that one's physical health is interconnected with mental, emotional and spiritual well-being. The holistic approach does not only treat the symptom, but focuses on the cause of a problem and views all the different levels of health as equally important in its approach to treatment.

Challenges in wellness can present themselves in a number of ways:
Physically: allergies,  aches and pains, headaches, chronic illness, coughs and colds, sore throats, cancers and many more.
Emotionally/Spiritually: general unhappiness, depression, tiredness, anger, frustration, and sadness.
Mentally: lack of concentration, difficulties with reading, writing, or studying, poor memory, etc.

Holistic health treatments can be of tremendous help for any of these wellness challenges. By looking at the whole person - their living circumstances, family life, self image, vocational choices, diet and commitment to exercise and self care - issues can be brought into focus and with the various modalities on offer, can be successfully dealt with.

We are at a very exciting time in the history of medicine where the focus is shifting from fixing things, to making sure that they don’t get to a point where they break in the first place. People are encouraged to take responsibility for their own health and the health of their family members by making changes to their lifestyle before medical or lifestyle crises present themselves. You have the ability to shape your own reality of health – make it a blissful reality!

“May the understanding of health be the starship of the next generation. May the worship of disease die with us” - Udo Erasmus

The Journey Into Complimentary Healthcare

The health issues related to one mother's premature triplets sparked a calling of seeking answers and finding healing outside of the conventional allopathic fields of medicine. Pat Laurent's three babies suffered from severe allergies due to their weak immune systems. After systematically exhausting all her options in the conventional medical fields she turned to more natural ways of raising her children, and found that her children thrived on a diet of goat's milk and mashed bananas and later a slow introduction of other natural foods. This was the beginning of her journey towards the rewarding practise of holistic healing.

Pat studied nursing before qualifying as a Diagnostic Radiographer in 1989 and she worked in various hospitals and private clinics in and around Johannesburg for several years. In 2003 she qualified as an Usui Reiki Therapist, and then added Aura-Soma, therapeutic massage, Iridology and nutritional counselling, counselling, and Kinesiology to the mix of skills she has to draw from when working with clients to find their optimal state of health in all areas of life.

Pat can help clients with their specific needs or look holistically at all aspects of the individual - the physical, emotional, mental and spiritual aspects - and devise an integrated plan to achieve optimum health and a balanced lifestyle.

At Blissful reality, Pat strives to assist people in releasing behaviours, habits, phobias and stresses that hold them back from being their best selves and help set themselves free from ties to issues that do not serve them in order to achieve the reality they have been wishing for.

Pat does not promote any one religion or belief system, but rather honours the client's beliefs and religious practises. Pat also refers clients to other health care practitioners, both in the allopathic and complimentary fields, should that be in the client's best interest. Pat believes in a respectful working-together of all healthcare workers for the good of the client.

You have the ability to shape your own reality of health – make it a blissful reality!
